We live in Alaucha County Florida which has the distinction of being a area with one the highest incidence of AIDS/HIV infection in Florida. The North Central Florida Center for Community Enrichment is expanding its focus to include awareness efforts in the area.

The youth is the engine of any country in the development process. They can determine where the country will be in the near future and therefore need support in all ways to live longer and involve in more productive ways. Thanks to MTV Stay alive foundation because it addresses the most relevant issue that affect the youth most especially in developing countries like Uganda.

In todays scenario HIV Awareness is greatly needed by the youths, as they tend to experiment with a lot of things including sex. So I think the MTV Staying Alive Foundation is very apt in concentrating the youths, who will become the future citizens of this country.

Staying Alive organisations has shown passion to people living with HIV/AIDS giving hope to life, particularly not only the infected but also affected as well. I had been watch the diaries of Kelly Rowland, was really touched and asked my self how do i become one of you, to teach, encourage, give hope to fight the spread of the disease as a person with people at heart. Ive lost family member, mostly painful my mum and sister are infected, i then told my self um not losing another person due to these, a must step up and teach people that being infected is not the end, to fight against stigma and discrimination, so that the infected should make their contribution to the society without fear, and feel accepted to the community at large. Now the question is how do i join you people on this war against this disease..?? Please suggestions are welcome

The rate of HIV/AIDS is becoming something else in my community. The stigma & Discrimination as lead a lot of HIV/AIDS patience into spreading this virus to innocent villagers that has less information on HIV/AIDS. Our HIV/AIDS Abstinence has received less funding in previous years through individuals. I'm happy for staying alive foundation with there creative mind to help young people.

We are happy for the wonderful programme you are embarking to eliminate discrimination against PLHIV. I would like to take this opportunity to thank SAF Foundation as it regards SAF`s grant youths. Our Youth project is called East African Municipal Aids Initiative(EAMAI). Through the sensitization on HIV/AIDS prevention among the youth in the municipalities of East Africa, we were limited by resources to move around this wider area. With the help of SAF Foundation, we hopefully shall be able to carry out this noble cause among the youth.
