Investing in sustainable futures...

Positive Action

In 2009 The Staying Alive Foundation began deepening its commitment to its grantees. This long-term process is two-fold.

Firstly, important capacity-building training is teaching our grantees how to build their sustainability and ensure their organisations become even stronger over time.

Secondly, a social networking site allows these fantastic young people to keep in touch, advise each other, and access resources that will help them in their work.

Both of these investments in the lives of our grantees have only been possible due to Positive Action, which has provided the vital funding for these programmes.

Positive Action was created in 1992 as the first pharmaceutical programme of support for communities affected by HIV and AIDS.

Part of Viiv Healthcare, Positive Action’s projects range across education, prevention, care and treatment-related activity. It provides valuable funding into how these areas can be improved. Their commitment to building capacity has meant it is a highly valued partner of the Staying Alive Foundation.

The capacity-building training will continue to reach all our grantees around the world over the next four years, and the networking site www.stayingaliveconnected.org, will expand exponentially in members, resources, and information in the coming months.

On behalf of all our current and future grantees who will benefit hugely from Positive Action’s support, Thank You!
